As a celebration for Woman's day, we decided to use the look and feel of 1940's pin-up ads. As World War II raged on and most men were away, printed ads begged women to do their part as everyday heroines in the home front. So we wanted to include this idea into the graphics but twisted it a little bit to fit into this modern piece that also celebrates them, albeit in a funny way.
This 'retro" look worked so well that we end up producing a trio of spots in that same style for Discovery Home and Health, to celebrate Valentine’s day and its almost inevitable consequences: mother’s and father’s day.
