Todo en Domingo, one of Venezuela’s largest circulation magazines (it comes with the Sunday edition of El Nacional, the country’s second-largest newspaper), featured Totuma in an article about Latin America’s current situation regarding broadcast and cable networks and its relationship with design and animation studios. The piece features a picture of our staff and quotes from shareholders and Art Directors Cristina Briceño and Edward Thomas.
Hubert Reinfeld, shareholder and Creative Director for Totuma, was selected as one of the 99 most influential Venezuelans in the list for the 99th anniversary edition of Venezuela’s largest, most-important newspaper: El Universal. We feel thankful and proud to see the name of our friend and our studio among people and institutions like Chocolates El Rey, Carlos Cruz Diez, Alvaro Sotillo, Gabriela Montero, Luis Aparicio, Simón Díaz and other fellow Venezuelans in whose company we can’t feel but dwarfed and humbled. To get a hold of the article, written by Hubert himself at the request of the editorial staff of the paper, click here:

We definitely have someone who likes our animations within the Stash Magazine editorial, at least, they do like the same ones we enjoy doing ourselves! Maybe is that why our XMAS 2007 viral message made it to No. 41 this February, where we give our best and simple wishes for love, peace, ecology and of course, toys! This piece was made in collaboration between Totuma and Estudio Planta, where the sound design was created. Now is our turn to promote Stash Magazine as one of the best publications dedicated to the showcase of top notch creative work around the globe and… c’mon! Subscribe now!

Totuma is this month's cover of the 38th issue of Stash Magazine, featuring the '06 Graphic package for Nick Latin America.
Stash: In Urban slang, a bunch of things, usually intoxicating, that are secretly hidden. This month Totuma is in the cover of Stash Magazine, with the graphic package for Nick LatinAmerica '06. Nick is one of the main competitors among cable stations in 20 countries of the Latin American region.
What sets Nick apart as a brand is its focus on kids, not the whole family. This is the channel to be a little mischievous, to gain some independence, to start growing up.
Using a nontraditional and rebellious illustration approach, we appealed to the playful and imaginative nature of kids, creating a modular system that would allow our ID battery to grow and change, adapting itself to every new thing in a fun and cheerful way, just as kids do. For the ID's we developed a series of characters that would represent all of the possibilities of what Nick could became in the imagination of kids – short, modular five second pieces so the Nick team can interlace and create their own series of mutations from one character to another to finally (or not), the Nick logo.
Stash Magazine is an international monthly periodical which compiles state of the art animation, VFX and Motion Graphics from studios around the world. Check it out!!!
